Happy 2020! I hope you and yours had an amazing holiday season and are geared up for a fantastic new decade!
I’m kicking off this year with a new mission and purpose for my work (and a relaunched website) and I’m super excited to tell you about it. I’ve worked with hundreds of phenomenal clients over the past decade and in that time, I’ve seen familiar patterns emerge: barriers, walls, and roadblocks that keep talented, high-performing people from achieving their goals, getting to the top of their game, and finding fulfillment in their careers and lives.
For women specifically, the leadership stats are pretty grim.
Women earn almost 60 percent of undergraduate degrees and 60 percent of all master’s degrees and hold almost 52 percent of all professional-level jobs and yet are only 25 percent of executive- and senior-level officials and managers, hold only 20 percent of board seats, and are only 6 percent of CEOs.
I’m here to change that.
What started off as a journey to help professionals kick ass in their careers has evolved into something new. I want to empower women to overcome all the bullshit that stands in their way: unconscious biases, the double-bind, patriarchal work structures, fear of failure, self-doubt, perfectionism. I’ve learned that I’m at my best when I’m working with professional women to help them get past their barriers and cultural conditioning to achieve their goals.
So what can you expect from me going forward?
- A new website! Stop by to book consultations, learn about my approach, and read about my coaching journey.
- An email in your inbox once a month with leadership insights and strategies around my new mission.
- For the fabulous male clients on my email list: my hope is to give you deeper insight into the challenges women face so we can all work together to achieve our common goal – to contribute, make a difference and be fulfilled.
Now ladies, here’s an invitation…
And for the gentlemen – here’s something to share with the powerful, amazing women in your life.
Women are fucking amazing.
Let’s just start right there.
We arrive with all the natural leadership prowess in the world.
With emotional attunement, remarkable empathy and true humility, we’re packed with mega-watt purpose to not only be movers and shakers but rule breakers and game-changers.
Even so, our names barely register on the Fortune 500 CEO’s list. When we make up nearly half the workforce, those stats prove we’re stuck in the middle.
So, why are we playing nice when we’re meant to play STRONG?
Whether it’s cultural conditioning, patriarchal values or our own internal blocks standing in our way, we need female leadership now more than ever. We need more women to make it over the wall, and it’s my job to help get us there.
To not only shine my own light,
but show you how fucking bright yours is.
Let’s do this.
